Cross Keys Bank has been designated by the U.S. Treasury Department as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) since 2014. Community Development Financial Institutions share a common goal of expanding economic opportunity in low-income communities by providing access to financial products and services for local residents and businesses. A CDFI must devote at least 60% of its total lending, services, and other activities to benefit these communities.
A mission of Cross Keys Bank is our commitment to providing opportunities to low-income and minority populations and communities. This is demonstrated through our impactful lending, deposit services, credit counseling and financial literacy activities.
The CDFI Fund was established by the Riegle Community Development and Regulatory Improvement Act of 1994. The purpose of the CDFI Fund is to promote economic revitalization and community development in low-income communities through investment in and assistance to CDFIs.
